Discover the house
A unique historical house in the heart of the Austrian Alps
This former rectory in beautiful Hinterthal, away from all turbulence, is one of a kind. Built in 1780, this house is one of the oldest in Hinterthal. Many of the original elements, such as the 250-year-old wooden floors and doors, have been preserved. There is no comparable house as a holiday home in the unique Hinterthal, adjacent to the high mountains, Hochkönig, where everyone will find their well-deserved break and a wide range of sporting activities.
The house offers everything your heart desires: an original, beautiful interior with a modern kitchen, underfloor heating and modern en-suite bathrooms for the cozy bedrooms. Up to 12 people can sleep comfortably in this holiday home on a total area of 450 m². The house has 6 bedrooms on the first and second floors, with their own bathrooms.
This vicarage offers two lounges, one on the ground floor and the other on the top floor under the roof. Both living rooms have open fires with large lounge areas furnished with antique and unique furniture. The modern kitchen is equipped with a wine fridge, a double fridge, a dishwasher, an induction cooker and a generous basic equipment, including the usual basic groceries. In the dining room there is also a very nice fireplace at eye level and this is open to the kitchen and offers enough space for 12 people.
The house is wonderful to use both in summer and in winter. In summer you can enjoy the spacious garden with a stream and the mild summer evenings in the mountains. A variety of hiking routes, unique walks (Urslautal, Rietzensee), spectacular climbing experiences, water rafting, mountain biking (down hill) and much more can be experienced with us. The proximity to Salzburg (culture and excursions), as well as Zell am See (swimming, surfing, Kaprun glacier, etc.), Tyrol and the Berchtesgaden nature reserve on the Austrian side, offer numerous opportunities to spend unforgettable days there. In winter it is very Guaranteed snow, because in and around Hinterthal (1120m) you can go snow hiking, tobogganing, ice skating, ski touring and, of course, skiing in a huge ski area. After a spectacular day, it is relaxing to warm up in front of the fireplace in the evening!
